ขุนแผนพรายกุมาร, หลวงพ่อยงยุทธ วัดเขาไม้แดง, จ.ชลบุรี
จัดสร้างเมื่อปี 2540 ผสมผงพรายกุมารของ "หลวงปู่ทิม วัดละหารไร่ จ.ระยอง" หนังสือปรกโพธิ์สร้างถวาย "พระครูธรรมกิจโกวิท" หรือ "หลวงพ่อยงยุทธ ธัมมโกสโล"

อัตโนประวัติหลวงพ่อยงยุทธ ท่านมีนามเดิมว่า จำปี แก้วไพรำ เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 17 กันยายน 2470 ในเรือนแพจอดอยู่ในแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา เขตอำเภอไชโย จ.อ่างทอง โยมบิดา-มารดา ชื่อ นายเชียงและนางถุงเงิน แก้วรำไพ ครอบครัวมีพี่น้อง 5 คนเมื่อช่วงวัยเด็ก พ่อกับแม่ได้ไปฝากกับญาติผู้ใหญ่คนหนึ่ง คือ พระครูโกวิทนวการ หรือหลวงปู่โห้ เจ้าอาวาสวัดวงษ์ภาศนาราม เพื่อให้ได้ศึกษาเล่าเรียน ก่อนได้เข้ารับการศึกษาในระดับชั้นประถมศึกษาที่โรงเรียนวัดมะขามกระทั่งจบชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 7

หลังจากนั้นก็ได้ศึกษาต่อที่โรงเรียนปัทมโรจน์ ซึ่งเป็นโรงเรียนประจำจังหวัดอ่างทอง จบชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ต่อมาท่านได้เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น "ยงยุทธ" หลังจากนั้นได้เดินทางมาศึกษาต่อที่โรงเรียนวุฒิศึกษา แถวฝั่งธนบุรี จบชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 8 ก่อนที่จะทำงานที่วิทยุการบินแห่งประเทศไทยเมื่ออายุ 23 ปี ได้ลางานพักผ่อน 15 วัน และท่านตัดสินใจบวช เพื่อทดแทนคุณบิดามารดา ณ วัดบ้านป่า อ.ไชโย จ.อ่างทอง โดยมีพระครูโกวิทนวการหรือหลวงปู่โห้เจ้าอาวาสวัดวงษ์ภาศนาราม เป็นพระอุปัชฌาย์, พระครูวิบูลสังฆกิจ เจ้าคณะอำเภอไชโย เป็นพระอนุสาวนาจารย์ และพระอธิการตี๋ เจ้าอาวาสวัดประสาท เป็นพระกรรมวาจาจารย์ ได้รับฉายาว่า ธัมมโกสโล

ครั้นใกล้ครบกำหนดลางาน 15 วัน ปรากฏว่า พระยงยุทธไม่ยอมลาสิกขาบท ตัดสินใจบวชต่อ เพื่อศึกษาพระธรรมวินัย อีกทั้งมุ่งมั่นฝึกฝนกัมมัฏฐาน จนเกิดความสุขสงบทางใจ ท่านได้มีโอกาสศึกษาวิปัสสนากัมมัฏฐาน จากหลวงปู่ลิ้ม วัดไทรใต้ จ.นครสวรรค์ และครูจาบ สุวรรณ เป็นฆราวาส เชี่ยวชาญด้านกสิณมาก

ในปี พ.ศ.2502 ท่านได้ออกเดินธุดงค์ผ่านมา จ.ชลบุรี พบว่าบริเวณเขาไม้แดงนั้น มีความร่มรื่นอาณาบริเวณเงียบสงบ ท่านตัดสินใจจะสร้างวัดที่เขาไม้แดง เริ่มจากพัฒนาสร้างศาสนสถานชั่วคราว เป็นกุฏิที่พักสงฆ์ หรือศาลาโรงธรรมอื่นๆ ทำด้วยไม้และมุงด้วยจาก เรื่องราวที่พระอาจารย์ยงยุทธ ได้ทราบไปถึง จอมพลสฤษดิ์ ธนะรัชต์ นายกรัฐมนตรีในขณะนั้น ให้ความสนับสนุนส่งเสริม มอบหมายให้เจ้าหน้าที่ทหารจำนวนหนึ่งไปตรวจสอบสถานที่และทำรายงานมาเสนอทางราชการแต่ผ่านไปเพียง 3 เดือน จอมพลสฤษดิ์ ได้ถึงแก่อสัญกรรม ทำให้แผนพัฒนาวัดเขาไม้แดงหยุดชะงักไป

อย่างไรก็ตาม หลวงพ่อยงยุทธไม่ย่อท้อ ยังคงเดินหน้าพัฒนาศาสนสถานสิ่งก่อสร้างต่อไป ต่อมาท่านได้รับความช่วยเหลือจากกองทัพเรือในเขตภาคตะวันออก ทำให้ทุกอย่างดำเนินไปด้วยดี ทำให้วัดเขาไม้แดง ต.บางพระ อ.ศรีราชาจ.ชลบุรี เจริญรุ่งเรืองสืบมา พ.ศ.2507-2509 สร้างบันไดขึ้นยอดเขารวม 142 ขั้น พ.ศ.2512 สร้างอ่างเก็บน้ำพ.ศ.2521 ก่อสร้างพระอุโบสถจัตุรมุขบนยอดเขา และในปี พ.ศ.2524 มีไฟฟ้าเข้าใช้ภายในวัดจนสำเร็จลุล่วง หลวงพ่อยงยุทธ ได้รับพระราชทานสมณศักดิ์ชั้นพระครูสัญญาบัตร ในราชทินนามที่ พระครูธรรมกิจโกวิทด้วยความที่หลวงพ่อยงยุทธ เป็นผู้ที่มีชาวบ้านให้ความเลื่อมใสศรัทธาเป็นจำนวนมาก หลวงพ่อยงยุทธจึงได้สร้างวัตถุมงคลเอาไว้หลายรุ่น ทั้งเหรียญพระ รูปหล่อ ฯลฯ ได้รับความเลื่อมใสจากบรรดาทหาร ที่นิยมหาพระเครื่องของหลวงพ่อยงยุทธไปคล้องคอติดตัว เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคล

เมื่อย่างเข้าสู่วัยชรา ท่านก็มีโรคประจำตัว คือ โรคหัวใจ ต้องเข้าพักรักษาตัวที่โรงพยาบาลสมเด็จพระบรมราชเทวี ณศรีราชา ในวันที่ 1 พ.ย. 2545 ด้วยโรคถุงน้ำดีอักเสบและโรคหัวใจ หลวงพ่อยงยุทธ ธัมมโกสโล ได้มรณภาพด้วยอาการอันสงบ เมื่อวันที่ 17 พฤศจิกายน 2545 เวลา 05.45 น. สิริอายุ 75 ปี 2 เดือน พรรษา 52 การจากไปของท่านได้สร้างความเศร้าสลดแก่คณะศิษย์และผู้ที่ศรัทธาในตัวหลวงพ่อเป็นอย่างมาก ทั้งนี้ สังขารของหลวงพ่อยงยุทธ คณะกรรมการวัดเขาไม้แดง ได้บรรจุไว้ในโลง ตั้งในกุฏิของท่าน เพื่อให้คณะศิษย์ได้มากราบไหว้

Luang Por Yongyuth was originally named Jumpee Kaewprairam. He was born on September 17, 1927, in a floating house docked on the Chao Phraya River in Chaiyo District, Ang Thong Province. His parents were Mr. Chiang and Mrs. Thungngern Kaewramphai. He was one of five siblings.

During his childhood, his parents entrusted him to a senior relative, Phra Khru Kowitnawakorn (Luang Pu Ho), the abbot of Wongphasana Temple, to receive an education. Later, he formally began his elementary education at Wat Makham School, where he completed Grade 7.

He continued his studies at Pathamroj School, the provincial school of Ang Thong, where he completed Grade 6 of secondary education. Later, he changed his name to "Yongyuth" and pursued further education at Wutthisuksa School in Thonburi, completing Grade 8. After that, he worked at Aeronautical Radio of Thailand.

At the age of 23, he took a 15-day leave for rest but instead decided to ordain as a monk to repay his parents' kindness. He was ordained at Ban Pa Temple in Chaiyo District, Ang Thong Province, with Phra Khru Kowitnawakorn (Luang Pu Ho) as his preceptor, Phra Khru Wiboon Sangkakit, the head monk of Chaiyo District, as his examination master, and Phra Athikan Tee, the abbot of Prasat Temple, as his ritual master. He was given the monastic name Thammakosalo.

As his 15-day leave neared its end, Phra Yongyuth decided not to disrobe. Instead, he chose to continue his monkhood, deeply studying Buddhist teachings and practicing meditation. He found inner peace and had the opportunity to study Vipassana meditation under Luang Pu Lim of Sai Tai Temple, Nakhon Sawan, and lay master Jaab Suwan, an expert in Kasina (meditation concentration techniques).

In 1959, he embarked on a pilgrimage and traveled to Chonburi Province. He found the area of Khao Mai Daeng (Red Wood Mountain) serene and peaceful, deciding to establish a temple there. He began by constructing temporary religious buildings, including monks' quarters and sermon halls, made from wood and thatched roofs.

His efforts gained recognition from Field Marshal Sarit Thanarat, then the Prime Minister of Thailand, who supported his initiative by sending military personnel to inspect and report on the site. However, three months later, Field Marshal Sarit passed away, causing the temple development plans to stall.

Nevertheless, Luang Por Yongyuth remained determined and continued the temple's development. Later, he received support from the Royal Thai Navy, which helped progress the construction. As a result, Khao Mai Daeng Temple, located in Bang Phra Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, flourished. from 1964 to 1966, 142 steps of stairs leading to the mountain peak were constructed. In 1969, a reservoir was built. In 1978, a four-faced ordination hall was constructed atop the mountain. By 1981, electricity was successfully installed in the temple.

Due to his dedication, Luang Por Yongyuth was granted the monastic title Phra Khru Thammakitkowit. He was highly revered by the local people and created numerous sacred objects, including amulet coins and statues, which were particularly favored by military personnel who wore them for blessings and protection.

In his later years, he suffered from heart disease and was hospitalized at Somdej Phra Borom Ratchathewi Hospital in Si Racha on November 1, 2002, due to gallbladder inflammation and heart complications. He passed away peacefully on November 17, 2002, at 5:45 AM, at the age of 75 years and 2 months, having spent 52 years in monkhood.

His passing caused deep sorrow among his disciples and devotees. His remains were enshrined in a casket in his monastery quarters at Khao Mai Daeng Temple, allowing followers to pay their respects.
