หมากทุย หรือ หมากถุยเครื่องรางอาถรรพ์ ดีทางแคล้วคลาด คงกระพัน และมหาอุด ต้นหมากนั้นตามปกติจะตายยากและมีอายุยืน ที่จะตายได้ก็มีเพียงน้ำท่วม เมื่อได้หมากตายพราย ให้นำมาทำเครื่องรางที่เรียกว่า "หมากถุย" คือเอาลูกหมากที่ตายพรายมาทำการปลุกเสกกำกับด้วยพลังจิต จนเกิดอุดมนิมิตว่าลูกหมากลุกตั้งได้เอง จึงถอนจิตแล้วนำไปถักเชือกหุ้มอีกชั้นหนึ่ง แล้วลงรักเคลือบผิว ทำห่วงด้านบนเพื่อใช้คล้องคอ ไม่สมควรนำมาคาดเอวหรือห้อยพวงกุญแจ เพราะภายในบรรจุพระนามพระพุทธเจ้า อานุภาพการใช้ ป้องกัน ทางด้านมหาอุด คงกระพันแคล้วคลาดและยังช่วยป้องกันภูติผีปีศาจ 

วิธีบูชา: ตั้งนะโม 3 จบ และระลึกถึงคุณพระศรีรัตนตรัย คุณบิดามารดา ครูอาจารย์นั้น หนุนด้วยคาถามหาอุดดังนี้ ให้หมั่นปลุกเสกกำกับ

“Holy Betel Nut” is a mystical talisman believed to provide protection against harm, danger, and supernatural entities. It grants powers of invulnerability, immunity to weapons, and avoidance of misfortune. Holy Betel Nut is known for its longevity and resilience; it rarely dies naturally except when destroyed by flooding. When such a palm dies from mysterious or supernatural causes (“Dead-standing” or “Tai Phrai”), its nut is used to create the talisman called “Mak Thui.” The process involves taking the nut from the supernaturally deceased tree and empowering it through sacred incantations and meditation until a spiritual sign appears, specifically, when the nut seems to rise or stand up on its own. Once this omen manifests, the practitioner withdraws their mind and proceeds to wrap the nut in cord, coat it with lacquer, and add a loop for wearing around the neck.
It is not appropriate to wear it around the waist or use it as a keychain, as it contains the sacred name of the Buddha.

How to Worship: Recite Namo Tassa three times, then contemplate and pay respect to the Triple Gem (the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha), as well as to your parents and teachers. After that, empower the amulet by chanting the Katha as follows. You should regularly consecrate and bless it through continued chanting and meditation.
