"พญาหมู" สัญลักษณ์ที่เปี่ยมไปด้วยพลังแห่งความมั่งคั่ง มีโชคลาภวาสนา และความอุดมสมบูรณ์ มีกินมีใช้ไม่ขาดมือ เหมาะอย่างยิ่งสำหรับผู้ที่ทำมาหากิน ค้าขาย หรือมุ่งหวังความก้าวหน้าในชีวิต พญาหมูยังมีตบะอำนาจ ช่วยปกปักษ์คุ้มครองผู้เป็นเจ้าของ ให้แคล้วคลาดจากอันตรายทั้งปวง ปัดเป่าสิ่งอัปมงคล และเสริมพลังอำนาจในการกำราบศัตรู ผู้คิดร้ายต้องพ่ายแพ้ไปในที่สุด

นอกจากนี้ ตามตำนาน เครื่องรางรูปหมูถือเป็นตัวแทนปางหนึ่งของ "พระนารายณ์" มหาเทพ 1 ใน 3 พระองค์ของศาสนาพราหมณ์ ตามตำนานได้กล่าวไว้ว่า กาลก่อนยักษ์ผู้มีนามว่า "หิรัณยากษะ" ได้จัดการม้วนแผ่นดินโลกทั้งหมด แล้วหนีบใต้รักแร้ หนีลงไปอยู่ในบาดาล โลกในตอนนั้นพื้นแผ่นดินหามีไม่ เพราะแผ่นดินจมหายลงไปใต้มหาสมุทรเพราะฝีมือยักษ์ โลกทั้งหลายจึงอ้างว้าง มีแต่น้ำ เมื่อโลกจมอยู่ใต้มหาสมุทร จึงเดือดร้อนถึงพระนารายณ์ ท่านต้องการจะเลี้ยงโลกให้มีความสุขเช่นกาลก่อน จึงทรงอวตารเป็น “พญาหมูป่าดำ ผู้มีเขี้ยวเป็นเพชร” มีชื่อว่า "วราหาวตาร" ดำน้ำลงไปในมหาสมุทร ต่อสู้กับหิรัณยากษะและสามารถปราบหิรัณยากษะได้สำเร็จ ก็ใช้เขี้ยวเพชรดุนแผ่นดินให้โลกสูงขึ้น พ้นจากน้ำมาได้ จึงกลับมามีผืนดินให้มนุษย์ได้กลับมาอยู่อาศัยบนโลกอย่างผาสุกตราบจนทุกวันนี้

ด้วยเหตุนี้ โบราณาจารย์จึงสร้างเครื่องรางรูปหมูขึ้นมาเพื่อเป็นเครื่องระลึก นอกจากนี้ วิชานี้ยังได้แตกแยกย่อยออกไปตามสายวิชา หนึ่งในยันต์ที่ขึ้นชื่อของ หลวงปู่อั๊บ นั้นก็คือ "ยันต์หมูทองแดง" ซึ่งถือเป็นยันต์ยอดแห่งความอยู่คง แคล้วคลาด คงกระพันชาตรี พญาหมูหลวงพ่ออั๊บรุ่นนี้สร้างด้วยการเททองหล่อจากชนวนอาถรรพณ์ต่างๆ แล้วยังอุดผงวิเศษไว้ที่ใต้ฐานทุกตัวเพื่อเพิ่มอิทธิฤทธิ์

"Boar King" is a symbol brimming with the power of wealth, prosperity, and abundance. It ensures continuous sustenance and financial stability, making it especially suitable for those engaged in business, trade, or anyone aspiring toward progress and success in life. The Boar King also possesses ascetic power, offering protection to its owner, shielding them from all harm, dispelling misfortune, and enhancing the strength to overcome enemies, those with ill intentions will ultimately be defeated.

According to legend, the boar amulet represents one of the incarnations of "Phra Narai (Lord Vishnu)", one of the three supreme deities in Brahmanism. The legend tells of a time long ago when a giant named "Hiranyaksha" rolled up the entire Earth and tucked it under his arm, fleeing into the underworld. At that time, the Earth’s surface vanished, submerged beneath the great ocean due to the giant’s actions. The world was left desolate, with only water. This calamity reached Phra Narai, who sought to restore the world. He then incarnated as "the Black Boar with Diamond Tusks", known as "Varahavatar." He dove into the ocean to battle Hiranyaksha, and after a thousand years of combat, finally defeated the giant. With his diamond tusks, he lifted the Earth from beneath the ocean, raising it back to the surface. Land was thus restored, allowing humankind to once again live peacefully on Earth as they do today.

For this reason, ancient masters created boar-shaped talismans as sacred symbols of remembrance. Over time, this sacred knowledge branched out into different lineages. One of the most renowned talismans from Luang Por Up is the "Copper Boar Yantra", regarded as a symbol of invincibility, protection, and immunity from harm. This particular Boar King amulet by Luang Por Up was cast using sacred metals and mystical materials, and every piece is embedded with holy powders beneath the base to enhance its power.
