ประวัติหลวงพ่อทอง สุทธสีโล ท่านเข้าพิธีอุปสมบทที่วัดสระแก้ว อ.เมือง จ.นครราชสีมา เมื่ออายุครบ ๒๒ ปี พ.ศ.๒๕๑๔ หลวงพ่อทอง สุทธสีโล ก็ได้มาจำพรรษาอยู่วัดศรีแก้ว อ.เมือง จ.นครราชสีมา พ.ศ.๒๕๑๔ ขณะนั้นมี หลวงพ่อแถว เป็นเจ้าอาวาสวัด ส่วนหลวงพ่อคูณ เป็นพระลูกวัด หลวงพ่อคูณได้เห็นหลวงพ่อทอง เป็นพระที่มีอัธยาศัยดี เงียบขรึม ไม่ค่อยพูด ไม่ค่อยค่อยจา มีความนอบน้อมอ่อนโยน เป็นพระที่เรียบร้อย และมีความตั้งใจในการทํากิจเป็นอย่างมาก หลวงพ่อคูณจึงได้ถ่ายทอดวิชาและพระคาถารวมไปถึงการจารอักขระต่างๆ ในตะกรุด และยันต์ ก็เลยนับกันเป็นศิษย์ตั้งแต่บัดนั้นเป็นต้นมา

หลวงพ่อคูณไปไหนก็จะนำพาหลวงพ่อทองไปด้วย ศิษย์ของหลวงพ่อคูณมีอยู่ทั่วประเทศ แต่ที่ถ่ายทอดวิชาให้และรับเป็นศิษย์เอกก็คือ “หลวงพ่อทอง สุทธสีโล” ท่านเป็นพระที่หลวงพ่อคูณไว้วางใจมากที่สุด และในปัจจุบันนี้ หลวงพ่อทอง สุทธสีโล ได้กลับมาปฏิบัติธรรม ณ วัดบ้านไร่ ตามรอยอาจารย์ของท่าน ซึ่งก็คือ หลวงพ่อคูณ ปริสุทโธ ท่านมีอายุ ๗๑ ปี พรรษา ๔๙ (พ.ศ.๒๕๖๓)

พระปิดตาเป็นพระเครื่องที่แฝงปริศนาธรรมอันลึกซึ้ง โดยสื่อถึงการปิดทางเข้าของกิเลสทั้งหลาย เพื่อให้ผู้บูชาเกิดความสำรวมระวังกายและใจ มีสติในการดำเนินชีวิต การปิดประตูใจจากสิ่งเร้าและสิ่งยั่วยวน ย่อมทำให้เกิดความสว่างทั้งทางกายและใจ เกิดปัญญาในการแก้ไขปัญหาต่างๆได้อย่างถูกต้อง

พระปิดตาในปางนั่งในท่าขัดสมาธิ ยกหัตถ์ทั้งสองขึ้นปิดพระพักตร์ มีพุทธคุณโดดเด่นในด้านโชคลาภ โภคทรัพย์ เมตตามหานิยม เสริมดวงชะตา และความเจริญรุ่งเรืองในชีวิต ช่วยให้ก้าวหน้าในหน้าที่การงานและธุรกิจ ทำมาหากินคล่องตัว นำพาความสุข ความสงบ และความร่มเย็นมาให้แก่ผู้บูชา อีกทั้งยังช่วยดับทุกข์ร้อน ขจัดปัญหาต่างๆ ให้คลี่คลายไปได้โดยง่าย

โบราณว่าพระปิดตาคือองค์สมมุติของ "พระภควัมปติ" ผู้มีความงามละม้ายเหมือนพระผู้มีพระภาคเจ้า หรือ "พระสังกัจจายน์" พระอรหันต์ที่พระพุทธเจ้าทรงยกย่องว่าเป็นผู้เลิศทางปัญญาสามารถแสดงธรรมโดยพิสดาร เป็นสุดยอดพระเครื่องในตำราพิชัยสงครามที่อุดมทั้ง "ลาภผล" และ "มหานิยม" อำนวยอวยชัยให้แก่ผู้สักการะบูชา พุทธคุณเน้นไปทางเจริญรุ่งเรืองร่มเย็น เป็นเมตตามหานิยม เสน่ห์เมตตา หนุนดวงชะตา แคล้วคลาดปลอดไพรี

Great Prosperity Phra Pidta by Luang Por Thong Suttasilo, Wat Ban Rai, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

The Biography of Luang Por Thong Suttasilo, he was ordained at Wat Sa Kaeo, Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, at the age of 22 in 1971 (B.E. 2514). After ordination, he resided at Wat Si Kaeo in the same district and province. At that time, the abbot of Wat Si Kaeo was Luang Por Thaeo, while Luang Por Koon was a monk at the temple. Luang Por Koon observed that Luang Por Thong was a calm and composed monk with a kind and humble nature. He spoke little but was gentle and polite. His dedication to performing his monastic duties was apparent, which impressed Luang Por Koon. Consequently, Luang Por Koon began teaching him sacred knowledge, including incantations (Katha), inscriptions, and the art of engraving talismans and Yantras. From that moment on, Luang Por Thong became Luang Por Koon’s disciple.

Luang Por Koon often brought Luang Por Thong along wherever he went. Although Luang Por Koon had disciples across the country, the one he entrusted with his sacred knowledge and recognized as his principal disciple was Luang Por Thong Suttasilo. He became the monk that Luang Por Koon trusted the most. At present, Luang Por Thong Suttasilo has returned to Wat Ban Rai to practice the Dhamma, following in the footsteps of his mentor, Luang Por Koon Parisuttho. As of 2020 (B.E. 2563), Luang Por Thong is 71 years old and has been ordained for 49 years.

Phra Pidta embodies profound spiritual teachings, symbolizing the act of closing off all pathways to desires and defilements. This serves as a reminder for practitioners to maintain mindfulness and self-restraint in both body and mind, cultivating a life of awareness. By closing the mind's doors to distractions and temptations, one attains clarity in both body and spirit, leading to wisdom and the ability to resolve problems correctly.

Phra Pidta in a meditation posture with both hands covering the face, is revered for its exceptional powers in attracting wealth, prosperity, loving-kindness, and popularity. It is believed to enhance one’s destiny and bring success and progress in life, including career and business endeavors, ensuring smooth and prosperous endeavors. Additionally, it bestows happiness, tranquility, and peace upon its wearer, while alleviating hardships and resolving obstacles effortlessly.

There is a belief that “Phra Pidta” is the representative of "Pakawambodee". He was praised for being the monk who has a graceful face similar to Buddha or "Katyayana", he was praised by Buddha for being the “Intelligent Buddhist Saint” who can express Dharma strangely. This amulet is the great wealthy & charming amulet that was identified in “Pichai Songkram”, the treatise on war strategy. The ability of this amulet concentrates on being secure and peaceful, exuberance, attraction, high-class charm & supporting destiny.
