A personal guardian who never complains, always ready to do everything with four arms granted by Lord Narayana's blessing. In ancient times, the procedure involved using a piece of bamboo known as the "Ghost-Poking Stick", a bamboo stick traditionally used to prod corpses during cremation. This bamboo would be whittled and sliced into thin strips, which were then woven to form the body of the Hoon Payon. However, nowadays it is quite difficult to find bamboo that has actually been used in cremation rituals. Since using alternative materials does not significantly affect the outcome, Arjarn O Sakda instead uses other natural materials to create the Hoon Payon figure. It is then coated with a sacred mixture of occult powders, including various mystical powders, soil from seven cemeteries, soil from seven riverbanks, soil from seven mineral springs, the Maha Jeta Phut powder, Pathamang powder, Trinisinghe powder, Itthije powder, Maharach powder, the 108 types of Maha Sanaeha (great charm) powders, Prai Kumarn powder, Nang Prai powder, and various enchanted mineral powders from across the country. These powders were prepared by Luang Por Noppawan and entrusted to Arjarn O Sakda. Once coated, the Hoon Payon undergoes a consecration ritual involving the invocation of the Four Elements, the Five Aggregates, and the 32 bodily constituents. A spiritual entity, or Jeta Phut, is summoned to inhabit the Hoon Payon. The ritual is only considered complete when the practitioner receives a vision or sign in meditation that the Hoon Payon has begun to move, a sign that the spirit has truly taken residence within it.
