Luang Por Chamnan created and consecrated this Phra Phrom Cast Medal as a commemorative token for those who participated as sponsors of the Thet Mahachat sermon in 2023 (B.E. 2566). This Phra Phrom amulet is regarded as uniquely distinguished in many aspects. Material. = This sacred metallic alloy was meticulously collected and preserved by Luang Por Chamnan from the creation of various batches of his sacred amulets. It also includes special materials that he intentionally selected and added into the melting process. Notably, it contains what is known as “Crucible Base-Metal Remnants (Chanuan Kon Bao)”, the leftover metal residue at the bottom of the casting crucible from previous castings of Luang Por Chamnan's amulets. This unique combination results in the coin’s bronze-like color and appearance, due to the mixture of many different types of metals. Artistic Design. = This is a low-relief coin depicting Phra Phrom (the Thai representation of Brahma), but with a depth and dimension greater than that of typical coins or medals. The image of Phra Phrom is raised significantly from the coin’s surface, almost to the point of resembling a small sculpture rather than a traditional amulet coin. Production Method. = The coin was created using the traditional lost-wax casting method, commonly used in ancient Buddha image casting, not by modern stamping or injection casting techniques. As a result, each medal has its own unique characteristics, with no two pieces exactly alike. It can be said that this Phra Phrom Cast Medal embodies a reservoir of sacred materials accumulated across generations, fused into a single form. It represents Phra Phrom, the great deity known for bestowing blessings and success in all aspects of life, including career, wealth, charm, popularity, and protection from harm.
